Thanks. Is it handled by ata.device or ahci.device? You can check this in Info window of partition in Wanderer.

@ deadwood
My Acer One Z5 has an SSD but it is broken the system does not detect the SSD, it works fine from Pendrive or external USB HD

@deadwood

It is managed by ata.device. The BIOS boot order even lists it as a IDE device. There is no option for SATA mode, in BIOS. After seeing that, I opened the device; making sure there wasn't a lapse in my memory. It is actually SATA.

@d0wz

Thanks for confirmation. I guess the physical connector is SATA, but software interface is ATA (IDE) not the newer AHCI interface.

Yes the ZG5 have the sata connector you do not have to set anything from the bios for the storage mode

4) @amigamia, @Jeff1138 - my list shows that you both have Dell Wyse 7010. Have you been able to test the latest versions (D07, RC1) on this machine?

Just checking back. Have you been able to test this machine over holidays?

Hi,

Yes D01 and patch (is that the right one https://axrt.org/...-P01.zip?) work so far from usb boot only, about to try out the newly compiled owb

Sorry, tested wrong one. Did D07 and RC1 get into AROS ONE 2.3 version which I have on the 7010 or do I still need to test?

Great, thanks. Can you also try installation?

Is audio and network supported? I assume VESA for Gfx? How about disk? ata.device or ahci.device?

Hi,

Seems I did the wrong version, see previous. I take it you want me to try to install D01 with new C?

Best to test the latest official release. I think AROS One 2.3 is based on it.

Thanks. About AUDIO: the hardware does not have jacks to connect external speakers or the sound is not passed to those jacks?

Hi,

Has one jack for audio out but nothing from it and another for microphone (not tested)

No audio from displayport (was not expecting that)

Some good news:

With the upcoming release, two more motherboards will be added to list of recommended hardware:

Gigabyte GA-MA770T UD3/UD3P
ASUS P8Z68-V LX

Especially the ASUS motherboard is interesting. 2011-level hardware, graphical BIOS, SATA and DDR3 support.

Thanks to @retrofaza for finding and testing the ASUS board.
