Re: greetings....
Hey All, i messed around with ICaros some time ago -- it seemed limited like the several "new" OSs I have tried in the past, primarily and likely cuz they were beta versions and the such. now I see this amigaos-ish has evolved into a new era --- time to test. Wish there was a "how or where to start" page -- to get going...,. but am trying to figure it out. anyway - just saying "Hi". Peace..
Responded in greetings....

Re: Introducing myself - trying this as a daily driver
For the basis for a possible new browser, I don't know if this could be of any interest: https://hackaday.com/2024/07/02/fork-ladybird-browser-and-serenityos-to-go-separate-ways/#more-693495 Cheers, Nigel.

Re: Hello!
There has been a delay when it comes to the new edition of Feedback for AROS. The new interface is not done yet, but hopefully we'll be able to bring out this as a summer release in July/August. At the moment we are working on getting the diskmag Versus on Classic done.
@Studenteer - An idea of getting away of Browsers: ArosPDF could getting updated in options and style. Also some bugfixes like the corrupted header when moving window could seriously making AROS more usable as daily driver. I have to say, that my knowledge of AROS is too small to join development but it's an idea how to improve usability in a way out of websurfing.
Also there are also other ways to collaborate, contributing ideas, creating games, programs, making icons, backgrounds, etc. on AROS or the other Amiga systems. In Amiga there are many possibilities.

OK, here's probably a daft suggestion, and one that rather depends on an unknown (at lest to me), which is does AROS 68k run on PiStorm? If so, coud a version of the proposed browser be compiled for AROS 68k? If all of the above was possible, the bounty would have an additional audience in PiStorm users. Cheers, Nigel.
Wayfarer needs a complex library (I'm sorry because I don't remember its name) and this is the reason because the browser can't be port for AmigaOS4, but perhaps a good solution I think, will be update the OWB among the fans of the three systems, AROS, MorphOS and AmigaOS4, although OWB can't open Paypal, etc., yes the browser be able to open normal pages without problems, in MorphOS still is the better solution to surf the internet, because it is light and fast, a common bounty is a good solution, other thing is putting the fans of three systems in agreement, when there have been private interests so that there would be that painful rivalry that we have and have had.

Re: Introducing myself - trying this as a daily driver
Jacadcaps has replied and is willing to talk to us and do a discovery story to check whether this is possible. A bounty, it seems, will be necessary. I will now start the conversation between Jacadcaps, Deadwood, and myself. I will keep everyone posted as soon as there is anything to report.

Re: Introducing myself - trying this as a daily driver
Would we be considering a 64 bit version for AROS x86-64 as well as a 32 bit version for AROS x86? Or just a 32 bit version of the browser?
