It works now. I can post screenshots.

Yes. Sometimes nothing shows for a given thread. I have to use "Sort by Latest" for it to show everyone's replies. But that works also.

Thank you!

Thank you, deadwood. Yes, I remember the bug and I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I will post the bug on the discord channel and see if anyone else has seen it. In the mean time I believe there was a work around by clicking on "Sort by: Latest" and it will display the last post.

I'll continue to investigate as time permits.

Thanks again for your support.

FYI: site worked ok yesterday, there was some slowdown in european evening but nothing compared to previous host and it might be an issues on my end. Will let you know if any further issues arise.

PS. There seems to be a bug with the CMS that sometimes the rowstart is bigger than actual number of posts and the thread page is blank. This was there on previous host as well. Seems to be related to people deleting post (post is deleted but post counter is not updated and thus CMS things there is more "pages" than actually is)

I think I know why. Which forum thread are you have this issue on?

EDIT1: Hmmm OK I am getting the same error. Allow me to investigate and get back to you.

EDIT2: OK I think I found it. Max upload size was only 2MB. I increased it and was able to upload one here.

Please try again

I have an issue. The new website won't let me post any screenshots. It says "Unknown MIME type" for both PNG & BMP. In the past I have posted PNG images without issues.

AROSWorld has been transferred to a new hosting service. Please report here any issues.
@deadwood - Are you looking for european or US hosting provider?

In Europe I'm using ovh.com. It's around $50 a year, but they have also a lower plan - I guess something around $25 a year.
US based but I'll look at that.

Well looks like they are useless. Makes no sense that I make no changes and sometimes times out and other days is fine.

Hello everyone,

Apologies for the issues and any inconvenience. The issue has been reported to the hosting service as I do not find anything wrong on the website code. During the 504 gateway timeout error, PhpMyAdmin is also unable to connect to MySQL databases host. The issue is affecting ae.arosworld.org as well but because the timeout is so sporadic and inconsistent that it may give the impression to work on one site and not the other.

With that said, I think it's time to look for a more reliable service. I am virtually shopping for a good place to put arosworld.org and not break the bank. The cost for my hosting service is $9 a year. Yeah I get what I pay for, but I don't make any from here so it can't be too outrageous.

If you know any good place, please post here and I'll review.
It has to support:
- PHP
- MySQL
- Ngnix or Apache
- FTP
- Free SSL

Yeah, I always CTRL+C my post before pressing "Post Reply" - I never know if it will go through Sad

The timeout also happened to me, I also noticed that when someone
writes something in the post, entering the forum takes a long time!

Same here. It's difficult to post with so many Timeouts. Some of my posts get lost as well.

Justed wanted to let you know I'm getting timeouts all evening. They come and go, but it's really hard to use the site right now. Testing at the same time AROSExec and it works correctly when there are timeouts on arosworld.

Yeah it's not the database or the CMS. It is a shared hosting service which means aria world is not the only site at this address. This is server performance and they are just playing stupid.

Time to look elsewhere. I am going to perform an upgradeof the cms soon though. Just to make sure I have used all my options.
@amigamia -
@Argo - I keep getting this error " You are barred to post until the flood period cooldown is over. Please wait for now."
That's actually legit from a flood auto-ban but I am wondering why are you getting it? Are you posting really fast? It's there to protect from DoS attacks and spammers trying to flood the forums.

There is 30 seconds wait if it happens again. Also, let me know of the situation when it happens, (i.e. what was the action, etc.etc.)
Nope, I only made one comment on one topic yesterday and got that

I cleared the ngnix web service cache and removed an old site infusion that I wasn't using anymore. I noticed it too that it seems to be working better but I did not want to jump the guns. Thank you for reporting it.
