I'm now starting review of software that was reported to use stdc/posixc.

Please try this version of wput if it works for you:

Bad Apple

This program actually works and does not need stdc/posixc. In there directory, there is a tool program called potrace that needs posixc. Here is recompiled version:

You reported that "SMBFS" does not work for you as it requires stdc or posixc library. Can you point me to what you mean by SMBFS? Where can I download it from?

Salvo, I never said it doesn't work 'SMBFS', I said that 'SMBFS' uses 'stdc.library', never mentioned SMBFS2

In any case, you reported on post #50 that 'SMBFS' was not working for you!

SMBFS I found it on an old Distribution/Build, I don't use it, I had also deleted it on my Distribution, on AROS One is installed SMB2 which works very well !
If you need it I can post the SMBFS binary.

DOSBox does not work properly.
- If you close Shell (CON:), DOSBox hangs and a Guru also happens
- If you try to close the DOSBox GUI from the appropriate gatget, DOSBox hangs and a Guru also happens

Old version, no Shell (CON:) appeared, and no problem closing DOSBox GUI from special Gadget

Tests continue ...

Today I created an AROS One ISO with your Build, and found that Zune Prefs did not work.

After making sure that in your Build Zune Prefs was working properly, I immediately spotted the problem.

Your Build does not support the updated version "mcc_thebar-26.22" found on aros-archive.

Basically Zune Prefs does not start with "mcc_thebar-26.22", because it cannot find the libraries "Crawling.mui" and "Group.mui", files that do not physically exist.

Ok, I'll take a look at this. So the steps to reproduce are:

copy thebar 26.22 into SYS:Classes/Zune
start Prefs/Zune

?

EDIT: was this also happening with D01 or was it not tested?

Yes you have to copy all 6 libraries in the lha archive in Classes/Zune

I did a test on the fly with D01 and the problem is also present in this Build!

Can you describe exact files that you copied? And what do you mean by Preferences/Zune? There is no such directory in AROS.

For DOSBox, I go get the error when trying to close DOSBox via close gadget, but I don't get any error if I just close the console window. How do you get error when just closing console window (without closing DOSBox itself)?

Additional question: Do you know if on OS3 is there any tool type that tells programs not to open Shell console if text is output (as in case of DOSBox)?

Sorry mistake, writing "Classes/Zune".
The copied files are all those contained in "mcc_thebar-26.22.lha".

TheBar.mcc
TheBar.mcp
TheBarVirt.mcc
TheButton.mcc
Toolbar.mcc
Toolbar.mcp

Toolbar.mcp is not present in the archive 'mcc_thebar-26.22.lha', but exists in your Build 'Extras/Zune/MCC_Toolbar'

Yes, and it also works on AROS x86 and AROS 68k

Example:

Of course it works, we are talking about something else, it works for me too, but then applications requiring those updated libraries don't work!

I don't remember, however from Icon you can create scripts and start them via IconX.

I have to check if it also works with Applications and Games that call up DOSBox or if it works well with RunInDOSBox
