I integrated 20211128-RC1 on AROS One, and at the moment I have not encountered any problems. I did an installation on the Pendrive, and it started up without any problems.
If there are no further updates in a few weeks I will prepare the new version of AROS One v2.3!
In my opinion you should base 2.3 on the 20211128 release. There will next release after that, but it will contain a major change - new C libraries - and it will need a lot of testing and should become base for 2.4 or following distribution releases.
Ok Saturday.I will start building the new version 2.3, then after a few weeks of testing it will be released.
Today I tried to create the Live Pendrive of AROS One directly from InstallAROS on VMvare, and I found that it is better than the script, it practically installs everything including all the content of the Development, with the script this did not happen and I had to copy by hand afterwards.
The script I was using was my modified version of Paolone's script, at this point I don't understand the difference between the two methods and what the script was for!
The release is now official! The news item should be posted as soon as @amigamia comes online.
I would like to thank all the developers who contributed changes to this release as well as all AROS community members who in last month contributed their time to testing builds over and over again! Thank you, we did a great job!
OK, thanks to you deadwood, if this ISO Build is the same as RC1, it is not worth doing a new integration on AROA Oone 2.3, since I have already integrated RC1.
Ok, what you get after running OWB, I get immediately after starting under hosted. It might be broken compatibility or it might be a problem with application itself. I'll take a look if I find time.
OK thank you, in the future on Wanderer you could add on the window some small Tabs for the commands "Show All Files", "Show Detail", "Show Only Icons", Delete Files or Folders, Edit File, these tools would speed up operations on Wanderer a lot.
Another wish of mine would be the automatic icon size, on AROS if there are large icons it creates clutter in the folders, this function is present on both MOS and OS4, so I could release the DualPNG icons in the standard 64x64 size.
These are larger developments which I'm not interested in doing right now. We really need to get more developers onboard who are interested in extending desktop experience.
I'm doing tests with AROS One v2.3, the PenDrive Live boots well on all my Laptops, I couldn't do the installation because the Hardisk is only available on ACER ASpire 5920, on this Laptop after the Grub I get a black screen, with the previous Builds it worked fine.
Then maybe I will ask some users to test the USB image on their Laptop
