“The problem” is in VBOX and VMWare, which do not support booting USB in Legacy BIOS mode.

I see! If you used Rufus, there used to be a problem with versions 4 and up to burn the VHD image onto the USB drive. I don't recall if it was ever fixed but try using version 3.20p of rufus to make the bottable USB. It's what worked for me in the past.

The latest version of Rufus 4 solved the problem, in each case to avoid incompatibility I renamed the extension of the .IMG file, in this case all versions of Rufus should burn correctly.

Telematix, I do not know whether the latest VM versions can boot a Pendrive, but from my VMware it is not possible to boot a system from USB, Some time ago to boot a Pen Drive sa VMware i used to use a tool "plpbt" (Plop boot manager) to do this! don't know if it supports AROS

"plpbt" (Plop boot manager) funziona con AROS One, fatto un test al volo con plpbt-5.0.15

Requirements
- Download plpbt https://www.plop....nload.html
- Mounted plpbt.iso (starting this ISO will bring up a menu see screenshot above)
- Set to VMware USB v2.0
- AROS Grub does not seem to work, first only 2 strings appear, after a while AROS Grub One appears
- After a while AROS One will boot
- AROS start-up is slow, but after starting Wanderer everything will be fast

Thank you very much.

I used the 3.20p, renamed the image to .vhd and it works on real hardware but not on VMware (workstation 16 player).

Too bad that VMware has lost that ability, I remember doing that several years ago and it's quite useful.
I will have to try other alternatives for linux, like qemu or something like that.

Yes Telematix is still possible to boot from a VMware pendrive, I did some tests and it worked, no external tool is needed, simply mount the pendrive as if it were a hard disk, see attached video!

If you find problems downloading AROS One 2.8 as happened to This User user, and you get the message: Google Drive is in timeout or reports that too many people are downloading this file ‘Try again in 24 hours’, you might want to wait a few days or download it at less busy times on the Web.

Unfortunately I can't provide any other links or a Torrent as requested by some users, also because I wouldn't know how.

If you don't mind, here are some Torrents I created
Just download the .torrent file and add to your chosen torrent client
You can just add the file to the AROS One site for download, if you like

Sorry, I am not familiar with the Torrent mechanism, so will the files be downloaded directly from Google Drive?

No, you'll need to have a torrent player such as transmission, which will download peer-to-peer. Once you have the file, you also share the burden of distributing, so on and so forth.

"The torrent client downloads and uploads pieces of the file directly from and to other users (peers), rather than relying on a single server. A .torrent file or magnet link tells the client where to find these pieces. This peer-to-peer (P2P) system distributes the load and speeds up the download process."
