FYI, there is an effort underway to port some C library functions related to wide char from Haiku.
It's a question of whether this don't discourage other users.
Personally, I would not be happy with this route.

1 month agoI don't know what wide char from Haiku is, but if it leads to a system similar to Haiku, I certainly won't like it, Haiku is very different from the Amiga and AROS philosophy and has never excited me.
I'm refering to C library functions, these functions are used by many programs on many platforms and make porting open source software easuer. These additions don't not impact any UI elements or overal system philosophy.

1 month agoOk grazie deadwood !
I'm about to finish the latest AROS One 68k based with the latest official Build. I noticed AROS 68k more stable and faster even if I found some regressions like the "Pointer" that can't use any Pointer despite the preferences program shows all the Pointers, another regression on some programs like "ModExplorerNG" where the Plusanti don't work !
Another important thing is that the Developer is unusable, GCC and other files are not executable!
