I saw an issue of National Geographic in the grocery store today. It is about the top 100 scientific discoveries of all time. In the magazine, the personal computer is considered important discovery number 6.

I was surprised to see a picture of the Commodore Pet as representing the personal computers of 1977. Check it out to put a smile on your face. Iirc, my Commodore 64 was more powerful than the Commodore Pet.
