Ah, glad you tested AxRuntime. You can also use Odyssey under AxRuntime.
With regards to linux hosted, you need to run it with more than 512 MB RAM to kick in "high memory". I usually run it with 640MB RAM. You do this by adding "-m 640" argument to AROSBootstrap.
PS. Crash with badapple happens right at start, no need to run it for multiple minutes.
BTW retrofaza fixed badapple for 64-bits and uploaded fixed version to archives.
Ok done, added 640 of Ram and ran AROS One 64Bit, see screenshot, now the error on BadApple is visible!
Question, on Linux hosted AROS which device should be used for networking?
On Linux-hosted AROS I noticed that if you copy a lot of data from a Pendrive, I copied AROS One (1.26 GB), on WMware the Pendrive "falls asleep", you have to disconnect and connect to make it "wake up", I have to check with another Pendriver.
On native WMware this doesn't happen, however it has another problem, the disconnection from WMware is fast, but AROS takes many minutes to disconnect it from Wanderer. you have to wait for the icon to disappear.
On the question of pendriver - I don't understand that one. AROS linux-hosted doesn't have USB stack and it does not communicate with pendriver directly.
In the startaros.sh you only need to edit interface names, not IPs. These interfaces are in line 9 and 10, called eno1 and wlp2s0. In you case, you should delete line 10 containing wlp2s0 and change eno1 to ens33 in line 9. (if I'm reading your screen shot correctly)
I redid the procedure also described by you, but on AROS no connection, from the screenshot you can see that on the Linux side the Network works (see screnshot posted above).
Done, the message as shown in the screenshot asked me to install the "bridge Network" package
Tried to install the "bridge Network" package, and it seems I don't have the space on the Hardfile.
Strange for the Linux ISO I used a 20GB HardFile, could it be that Linux ate all 20Gig of space ?
In your second screenshot it shows you have 100% disk usage. Basic Linux is probably around 14GB and remember that by default your "desktop" and your "home" are on the same partition as system, so if you copied AROS One to your home, that's 2GB eaten. Linux also reserves some space in filesystem for emergency situations - so yes, I'd say that 20GB might not be enought.
Created some space, I'll try to install uml-utilities, and hope the network works
Considering I don't know Linux, I have to be honest, AROS Native mode even on WMware is a better experience.
I have noticed a quirk on AROS Hosted, often the AROS Video resolution is changed, despite the AROS screenmode being saved, this is changed to a large resolution not manageable by my monitor!
I reinstalled VMware Linux Lite on a 30 GB HardFile, everything went well, installed "Aros One 64 v11" Hosted Linux and AxRuntime without any problems.
In the screenshot you can see "OWB AxRuntime" running, and AmiTube and OWB on Aros One 64 v11 !
