Well, I followed advices here
https://arosworld...#post_7599

I removed obsolete arosc, posixc and stdc libraries from the various directories where they belonged, then I replaced all systems and contrib files with 20220318 stable release.

Result: immediate crash after GRUB. With any option. Too early to understand where it happens.

I will try again as soon as possible.

Most likely its conflict between your old grub modules and current grub. Best to delete complete Arch directory and copy it directly from ISO. The other thing to look at is grub.cfg - either copy it from ISO overwriting your existing one or make sure list of modules in your existing one matches the one from ISO.

BTW, what is your test hardware? VMWare, VirtualBox or real hardware?

EDIT: is the release ISO booting correctly on your hardware?

I will make a 2nd trial when possible. I'm quite sure I have overwritten the ARCH directory as well.

By the way, if this is going to take a lot of time, I'll wait for your current developments to get the release status. I don't see many points in updating Icaros today when a newer version of AROS might be ready in a month or two.

There could be left-over binaries or configurations that are cuasing these issues - that's why I'm suggeting to complete delete the existing Arch and replace it with current Arch.
