Hi!
I've compiled python 3.3.7 for AROS abiv0 i386, this is an experimental version of python (as 2.5.2 was), if it is stable enough I'll upload it to AROS archives, use it at your own risk!

Quick info (some already included in the README file):

Requirements:
- AROSTCP must be started (bsdsocket.library is needed)
- A valid HOME: should be present (or it will ask for a HOME: every execution), if not present the script in Development/S will assign it to SYS:Development
- A valid USR: is needed (already present by default)
- Older AROS versions may not work (IcarOS 2.3 seems to be supported, more tests are needed)

Modules statically included are:
_ast
_bisect
_codecs
_collections
_csv
_datetime
_functools
_heapq
_imp
_io
_locale
_pickle
_posixsubprocess
_random
_socket
_sre
_string
_struct
_symtable
_warnings
_weakref
array
atexit
binascii
builtins
cmath
errno
faulthandler
gc
itertools
marshal
math
operator
parser
posix
pwd
select
signal
sys
time
unicodedata
xxsubtype
zipimport
zlib

This port doesn't support dynamically linked modules.

Info not included in README:

This version will never have a 64bit port, python 3.3.7 on 64bit seems to segfault even when compiled directly for linux, I'm trying with a newer version but I'm having some difficulties, but who knows, let's see what I can get :)

Is it possible to compile it also for 68k?

I thought the same and is on my todo pile, starting with py2 is better tho (also py2 may mean a possible GemRB for 68k)
However I've to compile py3 (newer version) 64bit and a do couple of other things first Smile

Hi,
Python3 3.3.7 i386 is now submitted to the archives, at the present date the 64bit version of a more recent release (3.4.10) will compile but fails to start correctly
I'll try to fix it in my spare time but now I want to focus on other things that may be more useful to porters in general (68k version still on the "to do" list Smile )
