Hello all,

I've been doing AROS development work for a while now so I figured I would pop in and say hi.

I owned an Amiga 500 in the early 90s, then switched to the A1200 not long after it had been released. It got equipped with various accelerators during the years but has since long shrunk back into its original case and has not been touched in many years. I have been busy with Windows and Linux systems for some 20 years...

...Then I more or less woke up one morning and decided to check out how AROS was doing. It turns out that the Amigaesque community is more alive and crazier than I thought but also that AROS devs are few and far between and need a hand. So I started working, learning about AROS internals in the process. That process is ongoing Smile

Great to hear :-) I hope you enjoy developing for AROS as much as us users enjoy, well, using it ;-)

Cheers,
Nigel.

@SwedishJohan

That's much the same as for me. I originally owned an Amiga 500 then in the early 2000's I purchased an Amiga 1200 which I still own and use today. I had been using C# to develop Windows apps for many years. Then I discovered AROS. Transitioning from C# to Amiga/AROS C took much longer than I anticipated. I'm still learning.

It has been a few months since I worked on AROS projects. Maybe when the weather gets colder and I'm stuck inside I'll start up again.

Welcome!

Since you are developing for AROS this may be of interest. It's the new RKRM for DOS Library. DOS Library is very much the same for Amiga and AROS.
