It's one of our college systems for registers so I'm afraid I can't really share it. However, it's the situation where OWB pops up a requester to gether a username and password rather than them being embedded on the webpage. In this case if was requested by Microsoft Authenticator. I suppose this is a quite rare occurence these days. I used to see it when downloading PageStream but I've just tried that site and now the login details are embedded on the page.

Sorry I can't be of more help with this,

Nigel.

Ok, I understand. I see if I can trace it via the error you posted.

Like the BBC site, another site with odd rendering of text: https://www.techsupportforum.com/threads/solved-mini-wireless-keyboard-dongle.643275/

Cheers,
Nigel.

P.S. aside from the odd issue as noted above, I'm browsing with the lastest OWB on the i5 and it's working on the whole absolute brilliantly :-)

General note: when plying video, avoid moving mouse over browser window all the time. Moving mouse over window will increase lock congestion and will make playing videos more choppy.

@ntromans

Please try this version:

https://axrt.org/development/owb/i386/OWB_2.0-20241001.zip

a) check if you are still getting crash with this authentication popup
b) if you add 'MSE' to icon tooltype you will switch media played to advanced version that gives you way to switch resolution but is more choppy and resource intensive

Many thanks for the new version :-).

The auhentification crash is fixed and I was able to get through o the webpage. One odd thing though - there's a banner at the top of the page showing the date but it was saying 6 September. I've checked that my system clock is correct and there was no issue with it in colllege today. It reminded me that when the first version of OWB 2 was released I did try FaceBook; in the registration section when I put in my date of birth the website the kept giving back the wrong date.

I tried the MSE option on my i5; not much luck I'm afraid. Choppy as noted and if I tried to change to above 360p the resolution did not change but the pictue & audio kept cutting out and the 'buffering' circle was pretty much constantly present.

Sorry,
Nigel.

Good to hear authentication worked for you. The date bug is on my TODO list. With regards to MSE, that's what I expected. It works better on 64-bit but still far from perfect. It might be that we need to be on newer WebKit version to resolve some of MSE issues.

Hi All,

New build:

https://axrt.org/development/owb/i386/OWB_2.0-20241003.zip

and update MUI:

https://axrt.org/development/owb/i386/muimaster.library.20241003.zip

- fixed crash when dragging an image (reported by @ntromans)
- actually made dragging from web page work - you can now drag a link, an image or selected text onto for example another tab title region or new page button and this will open the link

Many thanks for the new verion :-) So far feels very stable and very fast on my i5. I'vw been trying Youtube videos (at 360p) when spoofing as iPhone. Now on the i5 at least they are pretty smooth, just the occasional slight jump.

Cheers,
Nigel
