I tried both 32bit and 64bit Aros ONE on these 2 HP . Both have Nividia Geforce 8****X . Neither of them support native resolution I didn't manage to succefully install the OS on the DV6700 but that can be a problem of the laptop . On the CQ60 I did manage to install but it is disappointing slow it has single core Sempron . DV6700 has the 8400M GS and CQ60 the8200M GS .

I’ve read in the reviews that the CQ60 is a dual-core processor; in any case, if you have 4GB of RAM, it shouldn’t be slow even with AROS One 64-bit.

AROS One runs quickly even on PCs older than your CQ60. Did you try restarting the system after installation? It can sometimes be a bit slow straight after installation.

CQ60 had many versions starting from single core Sempron ( like this one ) ending with top configs with Athlon X2 , Turion X2 and also INTEL with Geforce 9200M . Th 32bit AROS supports single core anyway so I was placing the bet on Nvidia 8200M GS which unfortunately didn't supported the native graphics so the sesult was unplayable . In windows where the card is supported the result is quite normal If I remember correct I tried with 3gb memory

The AROS One 32-bit version with 3GB was bound to be fast anyway!

Most laptops should support native resolution in VESA mode. Usually this can be achieved by selecting the second AROS-One boot entry: "true colour VESA graphics".

The default option is "true colour VESA graphics: 1024x768", which obviously selects 1024x768 every time (if the BIOS provides that mode).

I'll check it again anyway I check every notebook I have or can pick cheap localy which has the specs for Aros candidate . This one with Sempron is the equivelant of pentium M processor concerning the CPU power . It can be upgrade to dual core Turion 64 which is several times most powerfull . The HP DV6700 on the other hand which has about the same Nvidia card and the above mentioned Turion 64 runs in decent speed
