I publish a program called Lil Calendar reminder application. You can find the latest version at https://arosarchi...-aros.lha. I'm gathering feedback for the next version. Have you noticed any bugs or annoyances? Are there features you'd like to see added? Are there reasons why you've tried it but decided not to use it?

For the next release I plan the following:
1. Open limpid view as an actual backdrop window per new functionality in Hollywood 11.0.
2. Restore commodities exchange hide and show
3. Today, week, 2week, month views for arbitrary days rather than for just today's date
4. Functionality to show one view above automatically on program startup, show interface, or after midnight occurs
5. Sound on or off in preferences
6. User preference for how many rings to repeat during alarm
7. Make alarm non-blocking (asynchronous) as a listview of items
8. Ensure windows always open on the public screen Lil Calendar was launched on
9. Menu item to move to a different public screen
10. AREXX AddItem command will create a new calendar if the requested one does not already exist
11. Add recurrence to AddItem AREXX command for all of the wayss available in the app (looking toward future .ics i/o)
12. AREXX AddHol so ADDHOL "Martin Luther King, Jr. Day" "US Federal Holidays" Holidays REMIND 1 WEEK BEFORE RECUR YEARLY THIRD MON OF JAN COUNT 20 will add a series of the next 20 MLK day items to the holidays calendar and remind you a week before each
13. AREXX View command to textually list a Today, week, 2week, or monthly view
14. ??Goto month cycle gadget rather than "<" and ">"??
15. Reformatting Add Item window
16. Option to give Sunday its own color -- requested by AMIGASYSTEM

Lil Calendar is an excellent program. It would be useful to be able to assign a color to Sundays, and even more complicated, to holidays, since every country has its own holidays.

Note that if you use the Limpid interface, it is not transparent enough. If you move a window onto Limpid, it overlaps the window.

I also noticed that the LilCalendar.guide file shows version 2.6.

I use it as a calendar to check the current month, but I haven't tested it thoroughly.

Thanks, this and prior versions are not true backdrop windows so programs can get behind them and corrupt the ddisplay. Hollywood 11 just came out and allows creation of true backdrop windows. That will solve the problem you are describing.

From the preferences window you can create a new calendar called Holidays and select whatever color you wish. Then, when you add an item, you can select that it be attached to the Holiday calendar and it will show up in that color on the display.

I will add functionality to give Sunday its own color. Let me edit my first post to include that.
