FFmpeg Audio Extractor is now also available in versions for AROS 68k and AMiGA OS3

FFmpeg Audio Extractor is now also available for OS3 and AROS 68k; you will find both versions in the archive.
The OS3 version works on both OS3 and AROS 68k, whilst the AROS 68k version works only on AROS 68k.
All OS3 systems are supported; FFmpeg Audio Extractor works on OS3.1, 3.2, 3.9 and AfA OS. You will need to have
FFmpeg in the C folder, MUI and Ixemul 6.3.x installed in Libs.

FFmpeg Audio Extractor does not work on OS4; it requires a native OS4 build. Unfortunately, there is too much variation in the Development branch; I.A. was unable to help me as he encountered too many difficulties.

With OS3, compiling was very straightforward given the similarity to AROS; only a few changes to the C source code were required.

FFmpegAudioExtractor has been updated in the AROS repository; every now and then I discover some errors, such as GUI messages that haven't been translated into the various available languages.

FFmpegAudioExtractor is now also available in a version for Amiga OS 3.x, but it also works on AROS 68k.

FFmpeg Audio Extractor available for download at Arosarchive !!!

Created a missing program on AROS, it is FFmpeg Audio Extractor, a useful
program that allows you to convert audio files or extract audio from all
videos supported by FFmpeg.

FFmpeg Audio Extractor can extract audio from video formats:
MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, WMV, FLV, WEBM, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, OGV, M4V, XL, CDXL

It also converts between MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, and all audio formats:
WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG, WMA, M4A, APE, ALAC, DTS, AC3, EAC3, MLP, TRUEHD,
PCM, AIFF, AU, SND, VOC, VOX, GSM, DSS, MSV, DVF, M4P, 3GPP, AMR, AWB, AA,
AAX, M4B, OGG, OPUS, MKA, MP2, MP1, M2A, XL, CDXL

For formats exported or converted to MP3 or AAC, it is possible to choose
the Bitrate value (kbps) and Adjust the volume.

The archive includes the source code, available for anyone who wants to improve the
program, or if anyone is interested in adding particular improvements, they can
report it on arosworld.org.

The GUI was created and compiled natively on AROS 64-bit v11 with the
contribution of A.I.

I'm working on another project, the FFmpeg Video Editor Tool. This tool lets you cut parts of videos in Direct Stream or other video formats, including MPG1. It will likely also handle video conversions we'll see how it goes.

Congratulations!

Now you have an FFMedia Converter. :-)

WinFF source code may give you some hints on how to convert MPEG files such as MPEG1 & MPEG4.

FFMpeg Audio Extractor Now in addition to extracting audio from all video formats such as AVI, MP4, MPG, WEBM, 3GP, WMV, MOV, MKV, XL, and CDXL, and saving them in WAVE, MP3, FLAC, AAC, and OGG, it can also convert all audio formats supported by FFmpeg into WAVE, MP3, FLAC, AAC, and OGG formats.

FFmpeg supports many other audio and video formats not listed here, which will still be supported.

Since there’s so much to test, if anyone would like a private copy to test, just ask.

Currently, the only issue (Guru) encountered is with MKV videos, an open container format that can store an unlimited number of video and audio tracks.

With MKV, audio extraction is only possible for certain formats; there’s no problem when extracting audio to WAVE. However, if FFmpeg Universal Tool is run from RAM, the Gurus disappear, so I assume the problem might lie with the file system.

Since the FFmpeg Audio Extractor code consists of only one source file, I was able to compile it on AROS One 68k as well; both the compilation and the audio extraction are a bit slow, but it works.

On AROS One 68k, I integrated the latest AROS 68k Experimental build (Nicolas Ramz).

I’m now working on quite a few applications, all of which are currently being tested and further improved—once again, thanks to the collaboration with Gemini (AI).

I’ve created a program that was missing from AROS: the FFmpeg Audio Extractor, which allows you to extract audio in MP3, WAV, FLAC, and AAC formats (with adjustable bitrates for MP3 and AAC).
Audio can be extracted from all video formats supported by FFmpeg.

The GUI was developed and compiled natively on AROS 64-bit v11; it’s very lightweight and converts extremely quickly in just a few seconds.

I’ve attached a screenshot!
