Ok, now I get it. Yes, that loop is quite standard. It just waits for devices to detect hardware and port bootable partitions. If a devices takes a long time to detect bootable partition, then you get "cats eyes".

I would have to check @deadwood , but on my try to make aros boot using emu68 the ai dissecated the boot process, and it puts an aros wait “loop” that if i recal correct, is there wainting something be avaible (what is strange cause amiga device is fixed).

There is this boot wait and ata wait, if the ai is correct.

I can check it latter to give you more details.

(I am getting very timing oriented lattelly. One thing is make it work, another one is to make it work fast 😬)

What do you mean by "aros wait stills"?

That is great!

Can you say if the aros wait stills?
I think that aros has a wait period (dunno if it is waiting devices or something like that)

But, anyway, great. Kudos!

A new developer (Nicolas Ramz) started contributing performance improvements to AROS 68k. Since the master branch is focusing on finishing migration to 64-bit, I created an experimental branch and will be publishing these improvements for anyone who would like to tests them and provide feedback.

Here is first build:

https://build.axrt.org/download/builds/Experimental/exp-amiga-m68k-20260720-121519.tar.gz

It contains changes from this PR: https://github.com/aros-development-team/AROS/pull/829

Watch the video in the PR to see how great the changes are. Remember - we are talking about stock A500 here!
