Please test the changes in muimaster.library (debug build) before I upload them to the repo

- Fixes issue #145 (Graphical artifacts in Zune Prefs when opened from a window gadget)
- Custom MUI settings take effect immediately after using the configuration window

I've found a regression from 32 bit - USB touchscreens (egalax class) are not recognised with nothing shown in Trident prefs at all when attaching. The same screen is recognised and fuly functional under 32 bit. This was tested using my i5 laptop with all USB ports tried and booting GRUB option USB2 only, so not an issue with the new USB3 code.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Edit: Just tried a wireless USB gamepad - again not recognised by 64 bit Trident but works fine for 32 bit. Also tried the tests on my i7 desktop (booting USB2 option); neiter the touchscreen or wireless gamepad work but I did get some feedback from Trident for the gamepad which stated that device enumeration had failed.

Gamepads are a known issues on the list. I'll take touchscreen, but note that I have no hardware to test it.

Just for clarity:

Both gamepads and touchscreen fail with EITHER pciusb.device or pcixhci.device active in Trindent?

Is your hardware USB3 capable? Would fixing just pcixhci.device be enought for your case?

These tests were USB2 only - i5 laptop has never worked with USB3 and I've been booting i7 tower into USB2 only to avoid the 'jerky mouse movement' issue, but USB3 was working with previous USB test releases on the 97 tower. However, I've updated several times since then whilst testing Gallium and I've just found USB3 only on the i7 tower is no longer working - mouse and keyboard are not recognised, not even the tracking light on the mouse is active. If i try USB2 + USB3 on the i7 mouse & keyboard work but I'm just seeing pciusb.device in Trident.

This is with the test build from https://www.arosworld.org/infusions/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=1966&rowstart=0, final version of gallium driver and updated kernel to fix audio bug. I though that was the same as DO1, but I'll try installing that and see what happens.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Yes, please do. Any reports should be done/re-confirmed with D01 build.

Testing with D01:

i7 tower - does not boot into native nvidea gaphics (stalls at black screen with horizontal line close to the top); noacpi does not help. Does boot option 2 (VESA). Trident shows only psiusb.device and no superspeed hub (as mentioned with the USB experimental isos from a few months ago this did work with USB3, albeit with the 'jerky mouse'Wink

i5 laptop - boots option 1 (VESA, as expected). Trident shows both pciusb.device and pcixhci.decice, but USB3 ports are not functional (no change to previous tests, USB3 ports are fully functional if only USB2 is used).

So I can only test the touchscreen and game controller using USB2; same results as previously (neither recognised at all).

Cheers,
Nigel.

Ok, thanks for clarification on the USB cases.

i7 - this this the machine for the show? So there is now a regression on it with regards to NVidia driver?

For i7 - when booting edit the grub and remove 'module2 /Devs/USBHardware/pciusb.device' from the does. Does usb3 work then (with jerky mouse). What do you see in Trident?

Yes, it's the i7 for the show. When running the installation as described in post 17 gallium is fine.

Removing the pciusb.device boot module - machine boots (in VESA mode) but USB is non-responsive on any port. The mouse's tacking led does come on though.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Please try one more thing with D01 and NVidia on i7 - disconnect any and all USB devices and see if that makes NVidia boot.

What do you mean post 17? Do you mean post 47? If so you are linking there to the whole thread not to specific post. For clarity, can you link directly to ISO image from that you are using as base where NVidia works for you?

I removed all USB devices; unfrotunately the boot still stops at the black screen with horizontal white line.

Yes, sorry, 47 not 17. ISO was https://build.axrt.org/download/builds/Experimental/exp-usb3-pc-x86_64-20260507-063759.tar.gz.
