8 days agoThe issue of graphic artefacts on AROS One has been resolved (see screenshot). Essentially, the artefacts are caused by the backgrounds configured in Zune Prefs, which I use on various AROS One themes. If the backgrounds are absent or white, no artefacts appear.

Just tried one of the pdfutils suite, pdfinfo (used in SimpleWhiteboard as part of the pdf loading function): unfortunately it does not work with emuv0 - on execution it just locks up my i5, no error message is produced. I appreciate emuv0 is being put on hold for the moment by maybe for future consideration?
Cheers,
Nigel.
Edit: Did a search, looks like ths PDF page count (which is what pdfinfo was used for) can also be found by counting the occurences of /page in the file, so looks like there is a work around here

Can you provide example command line you use? See screenshot, this how it works for me.
With regards to SimpleWhiteboard draw window crash - consider using workaround of "Hide". This takes the window away but does not crash application for me.

7 days agodeadwood I am checking all Hollywood applications. I will add all the apps that do not work to this list, followed by a list of all Hollywood applications that work well:
- With 'Hollywood Player', if you run ‘AsyncFX ottieni un Guru’ from the Samples folder
- 'AnimWebConv' works well, but if you try to save an animation, the file request to add the name of the video to be saved does not work. Use the version of AROS One (located in the AROS One Video folder) that includes registration; without registration, you cannot perform the conversion. You must copy the key found in the ‘Registration’ folder to the executable folder.
- 'AnimPlayer' (located in the AROS One Video folder) when saving to the requestfile, there are problems renaming the file.
- With “Hex2”, if you delete the text ‘Welcome to HEX’ that appears in the GUI and then exit the programme, a Guru appears.
- IconEditor (important software for creating icons) cannot be found in ‘TextEditor.mcc/TextEditor.mcp’ version 15.48. Your package contains an older version, but version 15.56 is available on the AROS archive.
As mentioned above, even if you use the new version, TextEditor.mcc will not be found (look for it in the Classes/Zune folder of the 64-bit system).

Does the crash happens with "old" or "recompiled with debug printing" version of SimpleWhiteboard?
re: networking - yeah Samba sounds like a valid workaround
Tried an old version - same input device error on closing the draw window.
Cheers,
Nigel.
Don't know if this will be on any help, but please see attached a photo of the input device error when closing a draw window in SimpleWhiteboard. As mentioned, unfortunately I can't select 'more' as the system locks up at this point.
Cheers,
Nigel.
P.S. probably something you are already aware of, but I've just tried Crossboard under the latest emuv0: the scroll bar requester for data is still not responding. However, data can be loaded if it's in a folder in the visisble part of the list. The program then fails on trying to open a custom screen: as an alternative I could re-code that to just open into a window.

I haven't yet had time to look into Crossboard. With regards to requester - have you tried using up/down arrows below the bar? They work for me in requesters in other programs.

Doh! I didbn't think to try those - yes, they work fine, tank you!
Hopefully the same 1 line fix as pdfinfo - I've founf my old Backupcopy program (file system cloning & mirroring tool, cli based, Hollywood app) locks the machine in a very similar manner to pdfinfo. Example of a command line usage:
emuv0-pc backupcopy -from sys:storage -to ram:

Requeters again - I'm finding that in a save file reuester pulled up from Hollywood I can't type into the file string gadget, although oddly if you click on the gadget after typing you see the first (and only the first) letter typed.
I've attahced a program which shows this. It needs to be placed in a drawer with some bitmap images (1 to 24 images) and run with no prarmeters. Then right-click on the window to select saving an image or order. I use this program to give a randomised list of student pictures but I'd imagine the bug has a wider applicability as it's a standard requester.
Cheers,
Nigel.

4 days agoLilCalendar works with TextEditor.mcc 15.56, but with EmuV0 48, AnimPlayer now crashes the system as soon as you try to load an animation (.anim) file. Previously, with EmuV0 48, it only had problems renaming the save file!
Anim Web Converter with EmuV0 48 now also works fine if you open an animation.
I tried you example animation and AminPlayer played it without crashing.
