Release time:
If you are not already using it, I recommend using arospkg: https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/arospkg

1. Lightcraft: (x86_64)
apkg update
apkg install lightcraft

or: https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/aros-lightcraft/releases

2. OpenSWOS (x86_64 and Raspi)

apkg install openswos

or

https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/aros-swos/releases/tag/v0.1.0-rc1-pi1
https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/aros-swos/releases/tag/v0.1.0-rc1

Raspi isn't tested, so don't hesitate to report bugs. OpenSWOS requires original files from Sensible Soccer.

Hi,

Thanks for OpenSWOS on pi seems to run fine with amiga whdload lha copied via DOpus5 and Logitech F310 joypad. Only options I have available. Not tried online as not good enough.
Does not disrupt playing but from time to time colours on single screens seem off but not sure if that is the SD card playing up. Perhaps others could confirm?

Thanks! Unfortunately for now I have to rely on reports from others. I have not seen issues with the colors in my tests so far.

(I hope) Last tests and improvements. Vectorcraft should use GL to render UI where available (falling back to CPU); eventually, I will backport the improvements from Vectorcraft to the rest of the *Crafts. You should already be able to download it from my APKG or GitHub, but give it a day or two more. V1, V11 and Raspi supported, Raspi not tested on real hardware.

But I have to say - *Crafts are one of the most boring and annoying ports to make.

I haven't tried VectorCraft. Any plan for CadCraft ? It's compatible with AutoCad for computer aided design.

I have tried WordCraft and PDFCraft. They are quite useful. Thanks for your continued efforts for AROS.

Raspi supported, Raspi not tested on real hardware.

Have the Raspi versions been released as APK packages? When I update the index, nothing new appears in the list. The last package that appeared there was OpenSWOS.

Not yet because Raspi did not get the latest apkg (should over the weekend)

It's good that you're writing, because I wanted to publish the new version of piAROS and in this situation I'll wait

0.7.1 is no available also for raspi. Starting with 0.7 version you don't need to hunt the updates for next builds - apkg can self update itself. The user just needs to press the button/type in the command

@coffecat:

Regarding the *craft apps, is it possible for you to implement a "intuition menu" instead of the win/linux style menu ? On Aros/Amiga, it looks "alien".

As far as Folio is concerned, can you make the side panel "hideable" ?

Caffeine sessions. v1 starts to have compositing and I have fun with it

Limpet terminal (https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/limpet/tree/main) running Helix editor (https://github.com/tomaszstaniak/aros-helix) with transparency and blur rendered over another window.

And a bonus:

In progress - ZuneKit - as wide and coherent documentation of Zune, Zune vs MUI3.8, Zune vs MUI5 as I can get. It will:
- describe all the available classes and their use
- give guidance how to use them and when
- contain references to the classical Commodore UI guides + combination of modern Human Interface Guidelines - I decided to go mostly with KDE HIG and a bit of Apple
- contain all the classes which I have created so far (e.g. discrete dragbar, new text class allowing for links within text, new document class and more) open for anyone to contribute
- and more

For Folio - yes
For Crafts - likely yes; I will check what can get done and how to best approach to preserve future updates

Less fancy updates, as I switched to working mostly behind the scenes, restructuring my folders (my biggest "other" project is 2GB of code and data - AROS-dev is 0.5TCool and cleaning up projects + expanding the supported platforms to mostly Raspi.

Here's some progress on the Virtio-GPU + VirGL on Apple Silicon Mac:
