I replaced the Prefs/WiFi and Prefs/NetModules settings on my computer with those from the latest Nightly build, and the WiFi connection issues stopped. As you can see in the image, the Wi-Fi - Start from Boot checkbox is working. A few seconds after restarting, I have a network connection.

Thanks, Bo!

When I have some time, I'll update the distribution.

Can anyone please confirm piAros boots on RPi 400?

Latest version from October 12 goes into the kitty eyes loop.

Have you tried updating the bootloader itself?

Bootloader?

I formatted the SD card as FAT32 and copied the content of the piAROS.zip file over as I have always done.

Nothing was edited. This process has worked in the past. Do I need to make edits?

No, nothing needs to be edited; however, since you mention that it’s not working for you, a possible solution would be to use a newer version of the bootloader specifically for the RPi 400.

Several people have confirmed that piAROS works on the RPi 400. If it doesn't work for you, there could be two reasons: a slow card or an older firmware version. It would be best to download the latest nightly build from aros.org and see if it starts. If it doesn't, the problem is with the card or the RPi. I'd like to release a new version of piAROS 1.4.2 tomorrow or next week, but it will be based on one of the latest nightly builds. If the nightly build doesn't work for you, piAROS won't either. Finding a faster card will be your only option, and if even that doesn't help, I'd look for information on whether and how to update your Raspberry Pi's firmware.

In case I missed it, which Raspberry Pi boards are supported, and how well
I have a number of models

@Argo
3,4,400,5,500,500+
Full support. 500+ has extra power off supported with new builds (piAROS not yet)

Will try the nightly build and report back. The card is a fast one. The previous version of piAROS was booting OK prior to me puting the latest on it. I'll do some testing and let you know. If it's just me then I am doing something wrong Wink
