@deadwood - The output of "user error" will keep printing in the CON: unless you register streams to NIL. What was solved in D01 is that this output was causing a crash.
With regards to ingame glitches you need to disable shadows. Other settigs can be kept at high quality.
I've tried all the possible settings but the glitches are still there, however they concern only the Linux version, not AROS which looks absolutely fine.
I made a couple of screenshots, 1024x768 as window size at the highest details. Quite strange that on Linux is much slower than on AROS, on the latter I'm still able to play it in somewhat way even using 1920x1080 full screen. What framerate do you guys have?
I only have one laptop and NVidi card works on it with 3D acceleration. On the other hand it does not work on @AMIGASYSTEM's laptop. It does work on Neil's laptop. So so far it is 2-1.

Just tested a GTX 980Ti on loan from Steve in my i7 tower. Everything works absolutely fine. D03 booted with no issues, 2D acceleration is great (DVD VOBs running fully smoothly). For 3D Gearbox gives 2667 FPS, Teapot runs at 466 FPS, GLexcess runs fast and Doom3 is completely smooth
Cheers,
Nigel.

In the NVidia-49.7.zip in the Devs directory you have Firmware directory with NVidia subdirectory. Copy
Devs/Firmware/NVidia to SYSevs/Firmware/
Additionally you need to copy the contents of Libs subdirectory in the zip file to SYS:Libs overwritting existing libraries.
What is your bases system? Is it AROS One 1.3?
Sorry for huge delay...
So currently i'm using Nigthly build from today 19.09.2026.
I have installed all on USB stick under VirtualBox, managed to boot on real hardware :
- Asus H81M-PLUS + i3-4130 + 4GB RAM ( mobo is nearly certified - not "K" but "Plus" sounds network works fine)
- GTX 960 4GB VRAM ( booting perfectly in VESA modes )
So next I've updated nouveau.hidd with the one nouveau.hidd-20260721-49.7 and copied all firmware. After trying to boot with native Gfx i got this errors ( nvidia_error and nvidia_error_more photos attached)
I've also attached GRUB commands for "Native GFX" and one of the working "VESA" modes.
output from HDMi, i have captured card so here is video version with all details if easier :
I would appreciate any help pointing where to look
It looks like you are running nightly build from www.aros.org, correct? In that case you already have the latest nouveau.hidd, but you still need firmware.
Install the build to disk. DO NOT update nouveau.hidd. Install firmware. Then after reboot your option 1) in grub ( native Gfx) should work. I tested it like that with GTX950.
