Here is an AROS gfx driver for Intel GPU's integrated in most generations of Intel CPU's (from Gen 5 to Gen 11 and more) see here for more info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Graphics_Technology

This is still a W.I.P. but the 2D part is stable and complete. I tested on a couple of machines: a laptop with a CPU Core I5 7° Gen (GPU is a Kabylake GT2 ULT (Gen 90, device 0x5916)), and P.C. HP ProDesk-400-G3-SFF with a CPU Core I5 6° Gen ( GPU Detected is a Skylake GT2 (Gen 90, device 0x1912))

My work started about two months ago when @deadwood released a working version of Nouveau driver for Nvidia cards.
So after many hours of work/testing with a LLM, i was able to made work this driver.

Please test if you have a GPU integrated on an Intel processor, i'm specifically searching feedback for other family of chips (but it's ok if you test the same as mine) and report here if it works good or found some problems/bugs.

To test and report you have to boot the ISO image on a Virtual Machine and then, after it booted run the installer to format an USB drive (could be a Pendrive, SSD or NVME) with FAT32 but if you want to generate a log file to report name this second drive as "DATA" otherwise the log report is not generated.

If you don't want to use the Virtual Machine and AROS Installer prepare 2 USB pendrives (could it be USB 2 or 3 no problem the first could be slow to boot and you could see for some seconds the cats eye's of AROS......wait a bit and it should boot normally). Or as stated before could it be an USB for the ISO and an SSD or NVME drive for the device to boot AROS)

On the first burn with Balena Etcher or any other program to burn image. the ISO distributed by me. Now insert the second pendrive and format it with FAT32 and name it "DATA". Now insert both USB pendrive and copy from the "AROS Live CD" pendrive all the files and folders that are inside it to the new USB pendrive called DATA (formatted with FAT32). Wait the long copy operation of the files and then you are ready to put on your machine to test.

Boot from BIOS and after a second you have the GRUB menu with 3 options, the first is automatically selected after few seconds, and its the only way to test the driver, the other are for booting using VESA or VGA. Use it in case don't work the first.

On machine with UEFI BIOS select booting with Legacy mode, as UEFI mode don't work as now.

Test it and report here attaching the out.log file maybe specify your details of the machine, and what bugs/problems you have found.

Cool, I'll try on my AROS machine that has an i7-3770k... can I burn the ISO into a CD? What is the minimum size required for the USB pen?

About the ISO on a CD, most probably could work, but i'm not have tested with it.
I do my tests on the Laptop with 2 USB pendrives, and on the PC with an USB and a NVME drive with a partition for this experiment formatted as said FAT32.
The minimum required is around 200/250 MB (the file size of content of ISO image plus a minimum space for saving the log usually few KB ).

It seemed the CD is fine, too. First I had tried the default boot, the screen was blank but it was able to produce that out.log file. Then I tried the VESA mode, I could see the title bar and menu of Wanderer, but no other sign of life until I unplugged the USB pendrive. The generated out.log isn't human readable.
I have to say my system has a Nvidia GTX 980, obviously in the BIOS I set the iGPU as primary adapter. Not sure whether this can affect your driver.

So the card is detected but i see some problem with EHCI driver maybe not supporting some controller that this motherboard have.
And can corrupt the writing as see on VESA log completely unreadable.
If your master OS is Linux could you pass me a DMESG on a shell so i could try to find what causing this malfunction.

The motherboard is an ASUS P8Z68-M Pro and distributions like AROS One work fine with that iGPU.
