In the past, I had asked the developer jpv for an editor that could export text and images to PDF. rnopublisher was born, but it's different from your program, still decent anyway.

Looking very nice :-)

One slight issue - after importing an image of about 2500 pixels wide, scaling to 20% and trying to export I had an 'unable to allocate bitmap' error. This was on 64 bit via emuv0 and it has 8 GB ram. When I have a moment I'll try the same on 32 bit.

Cheers,
Nigel.

I'm getting 'Error opening zip archive' when rying to save a .docx.

Cheers,
Nigel.

P.S. I've just tried exporting a PDF on 32 bit - worked with no problems. I'm guessing emuv0 imposes some memory limitations on the program (in my experience the 'unable to allocate bitmap' error is due to running out of memory).

Edit 2: Just tried importing some JPGs using a Hollywood program on 64 bit under emv0 and 'ran out of memory' with > 7GB still free, so there's definitely some memory limitations imposed by emuv0.

I'm talking to Andreas on the Hollywood forum, and we'll see what happens. If that doesn't work, I have a question: is there a CLI program for AROS that handles ZIP files in write mode? What program is it? I could call it as an external tool to handle compressing files into a .docx file, which is simply a .zip file with a different name.

UnZip !

Usage: unzip [-Z] [-opts[modifiers]] file[.zip] [list] [-x xlist] [-d exdir]
Default action is to extract files in list, except those in xlist, to exdir;
file[.zip] may be a wildcard. -Z => ZipInfo mode ("unzip -Z" for usage).

-p extract files to pipe, no messages -l list files (short format)
-f freshen existing files, create none -t test compressed archive data
-u update files, create if necessary -z display archive comment only
-v list verbosely/show version info -T timestamp archive to latest
-x exclude files that follow (in xlist) -d extract files into exdir
modifiers:
-n never overwrite existing files -q quiet mode (-qq => quieter)
-o overwrite files WITHOUT prompting -a auto-convert any text files
-j junk paths (do not make directories) -aa treat ALL files as text
-C match filenames case-insensitively -L make (some) names lowercase
-N restore comments as filenotes -V retain VMS version numbers
-M pipe through "more" pager
See "unzip -hh" or unzip.txt for more help. Examples:
unzip data1 -x joe => extract all files except joe from zipfile data1.zip
unzip -p foo | more => send contents of foo.zip via pipe into program more
unzip -fo foo ReadMe => quietly replace existing ReadMe if archive file newer

Or just c:zip to compress, e.g.

zip name.zip name

will zip 'name' to 'name.zip'. More than one file can be in the list of files to zip and the '-r' option lets you recurse into folders.

Nigel.

Version 0.7.7 with docx fix released: https://amiga.icu/download.php?lng=pl&pg=16&tconfig=3#z2

If you place the zip program in the Slovo directory, it will be used to generate docx files instead of the default, built-in function. It runs on MorphOS, so there's hope it will also work on AROS. If the document has a large image, it has problems, but it handles small images. I don't know what the file size limit is.
Let me know if the docx file was created and opens correctly in Word. I tested it with Pages and LibreOffice (it works) and NeoOffice (it doesn't).
