I added a software/hardware renderer option. But keep in mind that playing in software mode requires a powerful processor; in most cases, it will probably be too slow. That’s why it’s best to play with the hardware renderer, but of course you need to have drivers for your graphics card (or use hostgl).

TBFTSS now works on VMware; it’s quite fast, but I can’t access the ‘Options’ menu as soon as I click on it, I get a Guru error.

Please download it again; I've uploaded it to the archive.

To run the game, you need properly prepared data from the original Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition.

1. Install Wargus for Windows
2. Extract the install.exe file from the Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition disc image
3. Run Wargus for Windows and specify the install.exe file for extraction
4. Copy the Wargus directory to AROS.
5. Copy the stratagus file to the Wargus directory and launch the game.

To run the game in software mode, launch it with the -g argument
"stratagus -g"

It works on Windows, not on AROS, I won’t do any more tests
