OK, this fix works really well on VMware whether you set it to 1 CPU or 2 CPUs; I'll give “expansion Hellfire” a go now.

Thanks, Hellfire works fine, see screenshot. I’m not sure if you need to copy the ‘lang.dat’ file included on the Hellfire CD as well.
The various languages in Hellfire work fine even without this file.

I'm glad it works. I'll update the file in the aros archives and get started on the next port

Extract game resources from the original distribution of HoMM2.

Copy the subdirectories ANIM, DATA, MAPS and MUSIC
from the original game directory to the fheroes2 installation directory.
