Just uploaded a new version of FT2-Clone for AROS x86_64 v11 (as of today is version 2.19).
Is compiled with latest SDL2 and with the help of @deadwood and @Deremon is working really nicely.

FastTracker II Clone is a high quality music tracker program, that can play XM,
MOD and S3M music files.
It include also an editor for composing songs, load and edit samples and can
export song into a WAV file.
You can also play the game (Nibble) during music reproduction.

Download here https://archives.arosworld.org/?function=showfile&file=audio/tracker/ft2clone.x86_64-aros-v11.zip

With the Big help of A.I. now i've been able to implement/fix some bugs and
missing features. Now it can scale
with various factors (Auto Fit & x1 are the same), now x2 and others works, and
also fullscreen
(selectable via config menu or using Alt+Enter ).
For this scaling to work we need to close and reopen the program.
Sorry for this but at moment scaling works fine only in this mode, instead
fullscreen could be used live.
When you use scale factor more than x1 please enable "pixel filter" option under
"video settings" to have a
more readable interface.
Also thank to retrofaza (that get me the code for this) i added the possibility
to load songs via def_icon.

Please test and report if you find other bugs.

@Farox

I tested the new version v2.19 and encountered an issue (Guru) when using ‘Reset Config’ and ‘Load Config’, the Guru also appears in the previous version.

@AMIGASYSTEM
Thanks a lot for testing and report.
I have asked my master coder (A.I. Wink ) and it found the issue.
Attached is the new version, please test and if all is good (as it seem for me) i update the package.

OK thank you, Guru fixed. Question: shouldn't “Load Config” open a window request asking you to choose a configuration? Otherwise, what's the point of it!

Well maybe you have reason about it...but the original program work the same under Linux...it load a config file present in the current directory, without open any requester.
I see if we could add a file requester for opening a config file (as a backup) saved in another directory.
Anyway my next step...would be adding MIDI in (the only mode implemented in this clone) via CAMD driver.

No, that’s not a problem; on AROS One, I’ll create the usual preferences folder where users can choose from the available configurations.

MED modules (OctaMED) aren’t supported at the moment – will they be supported in the future?

I’ve found that “Load Config” works as expected; essentially, it’s a sort of reset that restores the initial values. If you try changing any options and then click “Load Config”, it will undo the changes you’ve made.

Italiano

Ho scoperto che “Load Config" funziona regolarmente, in pratica e una sorta di Reset dei cambiamenti che ripristina i valori iniziali, se provi a modificare qualche opzione e clicchi su “Load Config" toglierà le modifiche fatte.

@AMIGASYSTEM
about MED i don't think that is implemented loading this modules.
I think "Reset Config" reset the config as it was set when running for the first time (default configs).
Load config as you say, reload an FT2.cfg saved before in main directory.

Anyway i have a new version with MIDI in working (at least on Linux Hosted...the only way i could test at the moment, as my 8800gts gfx card died recently and the other cards are AMD and not supported at boot).
If someone have a MIDI instrument and want to test and report here, i will be gratefull.
I think this version probably only work on Linux Hosted (where i tested and is working).

To test the MIDI IN functionality run FT2 and go to config, check on MIDI page that at least some device is detected and working.
Next load a song or some samples and then select a sample in the list on the up-right and then click on the editor where there are the colums, (press TAB if you want to switch columns) Now pressing "Space" activate insert mode,next go to the MIDI instrument and press some keys, in the colunm selected you could see that some number are written (they are the note) .
In this way if you have music notations you could use your instrument to compose a song.
