Quick question - once the 64 bit drievrs are avaialble will there be a 64 bit versions of Cube 2 or similar to show the capabilities?

I see. I'm just saying cause each time you devs update the drivers, seems to be a hard work, so instead of climbing the mountain twice, maybe doing it just once would be half the job, even we have to wait longer, but you must know better

Yes, I expect each of them to eventually work (assuming the original nouveau driver works with them, which it should). I'd hold off with purchasing until the ported driver is more mature - I don't know yet which one will be the first to be supported.

Will the GeForce 8600M GT be supported in future?

On the same ACER Aspire 5920 laptop, ‘Intel High Definition Audio’ and ‘Intel Pro 3945ABG 802.11a/g/n’ have never worked. Is there any hope that they might work in future? Thanks

I assume "M" stands for Mobile chipset?

I'm right now testing using 8500 GT (desktop) so a desktop 8600 GT should also work. With mobile, there might be some quirks. We will have to see if it works once I start releasing alpha drivers.

That question is quite off topic for this thread. But HD Audio can often be fixed on particular machines by small changes to the driver. Intel wireless would require a completely new driver, so it's a much more ambitious goal. However, I'm working on supporting 802.11n, which would be a building block towards that.

I suggest creating new threads for either of these two topics if you want to discuss them further.

Yes, it is. And TI for the "Titanium" models, which are special accelerated versions. I don't know if they also brand it like that inside the drivers, but they do for the downloads

It's possible that laptop video connectors have the same issues as HDMI right now.

Does the ISO in first post of this thread boot to native mode on your laptop?

Sorry for the delay, I’ve only just got home.
The ACER Aspire 5920 doesn’t have any USB 3.0 ports, so I burned the ISO image from the first message in USB 2.0 mode and it boots from the first and third menu options, but I had to add “nomonitors noacpi” to the grub.cfg file.
The resolution is VESA only, although it seemed better to me!

If you added "nomonitors" option then you disabled loading the nvidia driver. Why was this option needed?

The ACER Aspire 5920 only works if I use ‘nomonitors noacpi’; even if I use VESA, I get a black screen after GRUB. This has always happened, even with standard builds.

I’ve also tried using just ‘noacpi’, but nothing changes – AROS won’t boot.
