Error when trying to build 3) alt-abiv0-linux-i386 (DEBUG)

Posted 2 months agoHi,
The i386 toolchain built without a problem. When I then went to build: 3) alt-abiv0-linux-i386 (DEBUG), however, I get the following error. I got the same error when trying to build the non-debug version too. I did one non-standard thing. It failed to download acpica-unix-20230331.tar.gz from the given site so failed with an error. So I searched the web and downloaded it from https://mirror-hk...331.tar.gz to put in portsources folder. I suppose it might not be the exact same file though the toolchain accepted it. Any thoughts on a workaround for this error? Thanks.

Posted 2 months agoWhat is the linux host you are build this on?

Posted 2 months agoI tried doint a clean build under Mint 22 and I didn't get that error. What you can do is to disable this specific test, here is how to change the mmakefile.src

I use Ubuntu 24.04. Thanks for the help. I'll make that change and try again. I didn't realize that the linux host would have such an effect. Maybe its time to go to Mint if that is what everyone else uses here.

Posted 2 months agoIn general it should not, but you never know edge cases. Mint 22 is based on Ubuntu 24.04 so they should be almost indentical. Hopefully this will be the only issue when building 32-bit version.

Posted 1 month ago@deadwood,
I wasn't sure what to do with the diff file you provided so ended up making a backup of the file in question and deleting all of the lines that started with a brown minus sign and adding the lines that started with a brown plus sign. Was that correct? I then ran ./rebuild.sh again and got the following error at essentialll the same place. Thanks.

Posted 1 month agoThat's correct approach altough you can apply such patch with 'git apply' command.
With regards to your new error you need to repeat these actions for the target that failed - it's visible in the last line of output: TARGET=test-crt-stdc-math-c99-double
Also you don't have to do ./rebuild.sh each time as this restarts process from scratch. You can:
