Re: The Fulcrum Scene Demo
@deadwood - The demo looks good - thanks for porting :) When you have time, could you also try re-compiling any of your recent work for 64-bit AROS and let me know if you run into any issues compared to 32-bit process?
Thanks Yes i could try, but first i must compile the 64bit Aros, and it takes some time.

Re: The Fulcrum Scene Demo
Good job Farox, I have prepared usual two iconic prototypes, one is the face of the main character, the other is taken from the photo hanging on the wall, your choice!

Re: The Fulcrum Scene Demo
Just released a new Demo from Demoscene, this time is The Fulcrum by Matrix Demogroup. Released in 1998 at at Mekka & Symposium event, where it ranked 1st. Download from Aros Archives http://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=demo/scene/thefulcrum.i386-aros.zip Link at Pouet: https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=313 Original Sources are here https://files.scene.org/view/parties/1998/mekkasymposium98/demo/fulcrum_src.zip This Aros release is based on the impressive work done by M-HT that converted all ASM sources to C++/SDL and released for Linux and OpenPandora Handheld some years ago... His sources are here https://github.com/M-HT/fulcrum Aros port use DUMB library (version 0.93) for music and sound fx, M-HT have implemented possibility to use both BASS or DUMB in the demo, but BASS library is closed source and not available for Aros..so not possible to use. I compiled DUMB library from GCW-Zero source release (also from M-HT Github). Sources of the demo are included in the package. Tested on AROS One with and without 3D support and is working fine, i have included 2 version of the demo one that use an 800x600 resolution, and another one that run in 1024x768. Enjoy

Re: Origami Intro from Demoscene
Thanks to all for the comment, i'm glad that you all like it.
@Puni - Thanks for the port! :-) Never seen this one before. An interesting idea to use the concept of origami to present effects in a demo, such as the animals we see for example. Hope to see more demoscene content in the future!
Yes a very good one this intro, when i saw it for the first time i loved it. I ever loved Demos from Amiga time to today. I have a few other sources from demoscene portable to Aros, some already compiled but crashing the whole system, other that not compile (or maybe i'm not so good at fixing this ;) ), and other that i need to try to compile but i know that i need some other libs that is not yet on Aros. So yes in theory i think i could release some more demos and maybe some other games. And i would also thank you for uploading some screenshot of my game mbx. Preparing all the things to release something take much more time than compiling so really appreciated when someone helps. ;) Anyway i already uploaded the shots for this Origami intro, sure they show when are approved.

Re: Origami Intro from Demoscene
Hi Another release from Demoscene. This time is Origami by Faemiyah Demogroup. Available from Aros Archives. http://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=demo/intro/origami.i386-aros.zip Original Entry for 64k introcompo at Assembly 2005 Graphics code and intro structure: Trilkk (Tatu Kilappa) <trilkk()iki.fi> Software synthesizer and music: Juippi (Juho Heikkinen) Folding effect, fractal code and misc: Warma (Vantte Kilappa) Link at Pouet: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=18347 Original Sources are here https://github.com/faemiyah/faemiyah-demoscene_2005-07_32k-intro_origami This is the release for Aros x86 of this Intro by Faemiyah. You need a gfx card with support for OpenGL (tested on AROS One with CPU AMD Phenom2 X3 + GeForce 8800GTS). Sources are included in the package. To build i have done a little script (arosconfig.sh) that setup and run configure for cross-compiling under my Linux PC. You have to modify it to suit your needs if you want to recompile. I have modifyed also configure to add some missing libs when we use SDL_image library, also some little changes to origami.c At start the demo let the user choise the resolution and fullscreen mode. Big Thanks to AMIGASYSTEM for the icons and the help.

Re: Game: Magical Broom Extreme (MBX)
Created new Icons for MBX, this time I used as an image the character of the game, eventually they can be used for an eventual next version. In any case those who will install AROS One will find them both versions and can choose which one to use in their system. I attach new icons archive:

Re: Game: Magical Broom Extreme (MBX)
Available on Aros Archive my new port for Aros....Magical Broom Extreme http://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=game/action/mbx.i386-aros.zip Magical Broom Extreme is a spectacular freeware horizontal shooter from Japan made by developer Twin-Tail, with jaw-dropping 3D weapon effects and very good gameplay. The player controls a witch, flying on a broom that can shoot, with the objective to reach the end of each stage. The game have only one big level. Controls: Up/Down Left/Right .. for movement z .. Single Shot (keep pressed and release for Special Shot) x .. Bomb c .. Autofire v .. Special Shot (?) It should also support Joystick or Pad (but i have not tested) Esc .. Quit the game immediatly Aros port is done thanks to huge and very well done work by M-HT, that ported and adapted the code from Windows/DirectX8.1 to Linux+SDL+OpenGL (compilable on x86/x64 and ARM cpu and maybe other). Sources are included in the package. To be able to run without problems you need an OpenGL enabled gfx card, at the time only some GPU are able to offer such functionality, see at Aros x86 Hardware Compatibility (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Platforms/x86_support ) for a list of 3D enabled GPU. If you try to run without 3D support Aros fallback to use Mesa for 3D and fps will be very low, making the game unplayable. I have included 2 version of the game: mbx-aros-i386 ..that run in windowed mode (640x480) mbx-aros-i386_full .. that runs in fullscreen I would like to thank AMIGASYSTEM that have created for me the icons, and also all user at www.arosworld.org forum for help and testing. Enjoy

Re: Two little release from me..(Nano and Arrakis from Demoscene)
Thank you! Yes Arrakis is very nice, also for Nano if you consider that was coded in 2006. Anyway both only use SDL so no GL and will be enjoyable on lower end machines with only Vesa gfx.

Re: Two little release from me..(Nano and Arrakis from Demoscene)
Cool! B) I must admit to not having watched many PC demos in the past, but the Arrakis one was good. The sound was a bit low in the recording though. Looking forward to try it when the Aspire One arrives.
