Distribution: AEROS for Raspberry Pi (beta 4)Print

AROS

AEROS for PiPascal 'Phoenixkonsole' Papara announced the availability of the fourth beta version for the Raspberry Pi computer of his Aros distribution AEROS. This is the public r4 release

AEROS is a hybrid mixture between Linux and AROS, is very complete and literally takes the best of all worlds. It uses Debian as base and AROS as desktop. It has many features and is based on Broadway. And if you still are in need of an application that you can't live without then you can always add Debian packages. Linux applications can directly run from the AROS desktop by using special commands.

Pascal has some nice videos on how to install AEROS and other topics, but you can also follow the installation manual. More information about AEROS can be found in the FAQ.

The latest beta version for AEROS for the pi can only be tested by registered users. Simply ask Pascal about the details on the AEROS page or in this thread.

It's also possible to buy a sd-card with latest AEROS for Pi pre-installed from E-bay (for as long as the service is useable). All profits will be spend on projects and/or ports aimed towards AROS and Pi (like porting OWB to ARM for example).
