Compiler: (WIP) Free Pascal + fpGUI (v20130108)Print

Free PascalALB42 is making very good progress with his port of Free Pascal and fpGUI for Aros and released a very usable package for us to experiment with.

Free Pascal is a 32 and 64 bit professional Pascal compiler and originally supports many targets, has support for OOP and many extensions that can be expected from a modern compiler. The 2.7.1 version of Free Pascal used in ALB42's package is one from the new experimental branch.

The accompanied fpGUI is a multiplatform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces and is currently at release 0.8, but is also a work in progress.

Although most programs provided in this package are experimental, they are also starting to get very usable. For this package ALB ported the original Free Pascal accompanied dos editor fp and brings Aros a very usable and highlighting supported editor/IDE.

Please also note that this is a WIP, so unexpected behaviour can occur. For more support please visit the links to the respective websites that are present in this post, but if you run into trouble you can also contact ALB42 and other Free Pascal users in this thread.

Download: Free Pascal + fpGUI (v20130108)* for Aros/i386 (WIP 34,1 MB)
* Direct downloadlink not working ? Visit ALB42's FPC page and download newer updated version.
