DMX ported Normalize 0.7.7 to Aros and uploaded his work to Aminet for us.
Normalize is a tool originally written by Chris Vaill and is used for adjusting the volume of audio files to a standard level which is also called audio normalization (hence the name).
The process of normalization is very useful for things like creating mixed CD's and mp3 collections, where different recording levels on different albums can cause the volume to vary greatly from song to song.
The normalize tool consist of a single commandline tool that can operate on both wav and mp3 files.
