Distribution: AspireOS 1.95 - TimekeepersPrint

AROS

AspireOSNikolaos Tomatsidis has created a new version of his AspireOS distribution (codename: Timekeepers) and made it available for us to download. Great job Nikolaos.

AspireOS is a lightweight distribution, originally designed for netbooks such as the Acer Aspire One. It tries to keep things as simple as possible and the programs included are well tested.

Nikolaos made a lot of improvements and the most noticible ones are the inclusion of a brand new wifi-scanning tool (written by Neil), an updated Annotate, the latest WookieChat, updated OWB, a better Boing Icon Bar (thanks to Olivier) removal of theming (for a better responsive OS), new wallpapers from shufflepuck and much much more.

More information about this update can be read here and Nikolaos has a nice page for his distribution that also has a complete list of programs and games. Nikolaos also made a thread for people to comment.

Please keep in mind that this version of AspireOS cannot be used to update your (previous) AspireOS installation. If you want to install this new AspireOS then it requires a clean fresh installation.

Optionally the game-package can be downloaded to install additional games on your AspireOS installation.

Download: AspireOS Game package 1.1 (144 MB, Optional Gaming package)
